December 1999

Emperah Nero is in the studio working on the his next solo album.  He has also finished up the follow up to "Gotta Lotta Respect" with the song, "Gotta Keep Em Check".  Nero will probably release the album under his own label, Bayou Swamp Entertainment.

The S.C.C. has appeared in numerous concerts with Emperah Nero (aka MC Nero) including:  Ascension Civic Center, Iberville Civic Center, Illusions, Legends, Mahogany Grill, Cloud 9, Club Neo's, and The Bengal to name a few.

DJ Who
, formally of Koalition Klick, is in the lab working on a solo project.  Koalition Klick's song, "Handle That", got heavy rotation in Louisiana in the mid 90's.  DJ Who has performed live with nationwide acts such as Outkast, Mystikal, B.G., Luniz, and Bushwick Bill.  In the past, the S.C.C. has collaborated with DJ Who on a few songs as well as concerts.  What's up EssJay??? 



November 1999

The S.C.C. will be featured on the song, "Sometimes", which will probably be a bonus track on Heno's album, Lost and ConfusedThe beat was produced by Wyze, who has recently worked on tracks for Mystikal's new album, Let's Get Ready To Rumble.

Mista Matt
was in the studio working on a track with Emcee Willis from New Orleans.  Willis is working on his debut album; Be on the lookout for the final product!  L.G. provided the beat.

October 1999

The South Coast Coalition is featured on the track, "Bad Azz White Boys" from T-Bo and Mike da Hustla's new album, Who Dem Boyz?.  The album is completed and will be released on Down N Dirty Records in January of 2000.  The EP contains 18-20 tracks and also features appearances by Mr. Clever, Delvin, and Mr Murder.  If you want a copy in advance, email us at SCC225@aol.com

CONCERT DATE:  Sat, October 9th @ 10PM.  Dirty South Productions
presents the S.C.C., live in concert at the Ranch Daiquiris in Erwinville, LA.  Also, the card will consist of T-Bo, Mike da Hustla, Emperor Nero and Heno.  T-Bo was featured on the nationwide soundtrack, "Whiteboys".  This show will have an admission of $8.  The S.C.C. will be selling Southern Slang t-shirts for only $10; the available sizes are M, L, and XL.



September 1999

The Coalition is in the studio once again working on the track "Murder: the Redrum" for Heno's upcoming album, Lost and ConfusedThe release date has not been set, but it will be posted on this site.  "Murder" was produced by Wyze.

S.C.C.
will be featured on Dat 3-P Family's upcoming LP. (the album title has not yet been released) Mista Matt and B-Rock laid down 12 bars each on the track, "Big Guns", along with King James and Lil Camo.  Lil Camo also produced the track.

Do not forget to pick up the soundtrack, Whiteboys.  T-Bo and Snoop are on the the title track.  T-Bo spits the first and third verse, and Snoop drops the middle verse and provides the hook.  The soundtrack was released by TVT Records.



August 1999

CONCERT DATE:  Tues, August 20th @ Club Majestic.  The S.C.C. will appear live at the 1999 Super Summer Jam.  This concert will start at 10pm at Club Majestic in Bogalusa, LA.  The card will consist of Emperor Nero, Heno, Dat 3P, King James, Lil Camo, Camp J, Click Tight, and Da Critical Boys.  There will also be a Back Dat Thang Up Contest with a cash prize.

CONCERT DATE:  Sat, August 24th @ 9PM. 
The Coalition will appear live at the Big Money Summer Jam in Gloster, Mississippi.  The card consists of Emperor Nero, Heno, Real Wid iT Click, 3P Family, Lil Walt, and Rebels and Thieves.  This concert is a Big Money Productions.  There will also be a freestyle contest in which the winner will receive a record deal.

RADIO INTERVIEW:  Wed, August 28th @ 7PM. 
The Coalition will be interviewed by Jewel "Juice" Jackson on 95.5 in Lafayette, LA.  The interview will start at 7pm during the Juice Factory.  After the interview, a few previously unreleased tracks from upcoming projects will be played.  For those who live in BR, you might remember the Juice Factory when it was on AM1460. (Juice was one of the first DJ's to break Master P's hit, "Bout It, Bout It")



July 1999

T.V. INTERVIEW:  Sat, July 17th @ 11PM.  The Coalition will appear on the Down South Connection with BK.  This TV interview and freestyle can be seen on channel 11 in the Baton Rouge area.  Guest artists, Emperor Nero and Heno, will also lay down a freestyle, so dont miss it!

T.V. INTERVIEW:  Wed, July 21st @ 11PM. 
If for some unknown reason you missed the Down South Connection on Sat, July 17th, the show will be aired again on channel 11 at 11pm.

The Coalition is back in the studio working on a possible compilation album with  another Down South artist, T-Bo.  Recently, T-Bo was offered a contract with Snoop Dogg's new record label.  T-Bo is featured with Snoop on the soundtrack, White Boys , which will be released in late July on TVT Records.  Also, be on the lookout for a possible video.



June 1999

RADIO INTERVIEW:  Mon, June 28th @ 9PM.  The South Coast Coalition will be interviewed on 91.1 KLSU during the Underground Hip Hop Show hosted by Big Al.  There will be an in depth interview discussing the new album, Southern Slang: The EPThe CD will be played throughout the interview, so be sure to check it out.

Southern Slang: The EP
is in all stores now!!!  The EP features guest appearances from Emperah Nero, Heno, Pain, L.G., and Everette.  The productions team consists of Greg Dukes, Sean Griffin, Nero, Brent Dixon, and L.G.  More than half of the EP was recorded at Mr. Lee Daniel's studio (Strawberry Scan). The first single will be either "Put It Down" or "Dirty South Soldiers".

In Cleveland, Ohio, B-Rock dropped a verse on DeApp and Dirty Loot's new single, "Can't See These G's".  DeApp and Dirty Loot appeared on Bone's Mo Thugs Compilation.
